We are back! we have managed to keep much of the line-up from last year's cancelled festival and been able to make it even better. All gigs take place in the auditorium.
The tenth Herts Jazz Festival brings the best of British jazz talent to South Mill Arts in Bishop’s Stortford again this year.
We have three stunning headliners – Darius Brubeck (son of jazz icon Dave Brubeck and a superb pianist in his own right) with his quartet on the Friday evening, superb singer and pianist Liane Carroll on the Saturday and we finish with a real bang on the Sunday night with the Simon Spillett Big Band playing the music of the legendary Tubby Hayes (who played at South Mill back in 1964).
Also appearing will be John Etheridge Quartet featuring Vasilis Xenopoulos, Gilad Atzmon Quartet, Rory Ingham’s “Wakey Blakey”, Art Themen Sextet, Derek Nash’s Picanté, Winston Clifford Quartet, Nikki Iles/Stan Sulzmann Duo, Dave Newton and Herts Youth Jazz Ensemble.
